Special Abilities: Is trained in the Vulcan Nerve Pinch [aka FSNP] technique. Is also trained, but is cautious in using the Vulcan Mind Meld. At his post, he is a Miracle Worker when it comes to coercing as much power from the warp core as possible.

History: Surek was born to two Starfleet officers serving on a starship. He was taught in the Vulcan tradition; he embraced logic and supressed the emotions of his human half. When he came of age, his parents encouraged him to enroll in Starfleet Academy. Near the end of the Dominion War though, his parents were killed when their ship was destroyed, losing all hands. Upon learning of his parents' deaths, he lost all emotional control, dropping out of Starfleet Academy and returning to Vulcan distraught, where Vulcan Masters took him in and retaught him logic again. He attempted to rid himself of emotion though the ritual of Kholinar, but the pain of his parents' death was to powerful. Instead, he attended the Vulcan Science Academy where he studied warp field theory and the workings of a warp core. He graduated top of his class. Currently, he is on his first assignment, the USS Angelfire, as the ship's Warp Core Specialist

Personalitly: A strict Vulcan logic dominates his personality. However, from his experience with Humans, he's learned that emotion, illogic, and intuition have made the Humans an impressive force in the universe, and that his Human half gives him the edge of intuition.
