Special Abilities: Carina began to develop Vulcan mental abilities when she was young. She didn't understand them, so she ignored them untill she was studing with Vulcan elders. She did not have full capabilities at the start, but through much practice, dedication, and study, she now has the full mental capabilities of a Vulcan.

History: Carina was born as a result of Atahial Exsta's attack on Ma'talk during pon farr. Ma'talk was ill at the time, and unable to defend herself. Once she recovered, Ma'talk attacked and killed Atahial to reclaim her honor. Carina was born seven months following her father's murder, and placed under the protective custody of the government. While growing up, Carina was often a victim of abuse from her guardians, due to her mixed species. Other children often teased her. She studied both of her cultures in her spare time, to learn to deal with her strong Klingon emotions and her Vulcan desire for suppression and logical thought. Once of age, she joined Starfleet Academy so she could get out of governmental care. She worked hard, excelling in all of her classes. She was driven by the fear of returning to government care. She graduated at the top of her class. Following graduation, she went and visited Qo'nos to study Klingon way of life, and then she studied with some Vulcan elders as well.

Personalitly: Carina is a hard worker, subconsciously driven by the fear of state care, even at the age of 24. She is extremely loyal, and has a firm belief in honor. From her Vulcan side, she uses logic in situations achieve the goal, but will branch out from it. She shows her emotions when she feels it is appropriate. She does not tend to show them while on duty. She loves to have fun, enjoying holodecks, fighting simulations, meditation, and will always be up to try something new. She is always at an internal struggle, which she does not show, between her Klingon emotions and her Vulcan desire for suppression. She works hard, meditating at least once a day help deal witht this. She has a slight fear of Vulcan males, which she is also learning to control.
