Special Abilities: Kyrlan has, as all Betazoids have, a telepathic ability. His is not particularly srong, although he has undergone strenuous mental training.

History: Adar was born on Betazed but oved to Earth shortly after and thus has been raised in the company of humans. He entered Starfleet Academy with the intention of becoming a pilot. During his tenure his instructors noticed a particuar adeption in tactical operations. His targeting record was exemplary, and in his senior year was a member of Red Squad and thus served for six weeks aboard the USS Valiant. Immediately after graduation he was placed aboard USS Independence as a tactical officer and backup Peregrine fighter pilot. It was here that he met Alicia Rhodes, a nurse in the Independence's sicbay. The two fell in love instantly, and were engaged to be married the day prior to the battle for DS9. Adar had been assigned to fly a Peregrine during the battle, a factor which saved his life when the Independence was destroyed when a Galor-class cruiser rammed it. Adar was devastated and has yet to fully recover. Four months later his piloting skills were needed aboard USS Arcadia, where he served out the duration of the war. After accepting a long shore leave he was assigned as Assistant Chief of Tactical aboard the new USS Angelfire.

Personalitly: Adar generally keeps to himself. As a result for his losses during the Dominion war he harbors a strong resentment for the Cardassians and especially the Breen. He very rarey shows any emotion and is apprehensive about making new friends aboard the Angelfire for fear of losing them.
